What we collect
When you create an account we store:
- Your email (used to sign in and to contact you about your account).
- Your display name.
- Your time zone (auto-detected from your browser, you can change it).
You can optionally add:
- A profile photo.
- A location (free text).
- A short bio.
When you use the service we also store the content you create:
- Chambers you create or join, and your role in each.
- Tasks, check-ins, harvest entries and plant entries.
- Photos you upload to a chamber.
What we don't collect
- We don't use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking pixels.
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't ask for payment information — EcoChamber is free.
How we use what we collect
- To run the service: show your contributions inside your chambers.
- To keep you signed in: a session cookie set by our authentication provider.
- To contact you about your account: password resets and important service notices.
Who sees your data
- Other members of a chamber you join can see your display name, avatar, bio and the activity you log inside that chamber.
- Visitors to a public chamber pagecan see the chamber and its members' display names and avatars.
- Service providers we use to operate EcoChamber process data on our behalf — currently Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) and Vercel (hosting). They're bound by their own privacy commitments.
Where your data lives
Account data and chamber content live in a managed Postgres database operated by Supabase. Photos live in Supabase Storage. Authentication sessions are managed by Supabase Auth.
Your choices
- Edit your profile any time from the account page — display name, avatar, location, bio, time zone.
- Reset your password from the account page or the login screen.
- Delete your account from the danger zone on the account page. Your profile is removed; your contributions to chambers stay logged but are anonymised.
- Export— we don't have a one-click export yet. Email us and we'll get you a copy of your data.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie for authentication. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the “last updated” date when this page changes. For significant changes we'll let you know by email.
